The capital city of Australia, Canberra, has once again been the host city for what is fast becoming the most significant Piping and Drumming workshop in the country.
The Canberra College of Piping and Drumming, a small committee involved with furthering the knowledge of pipers and drummers principally within the Canberra area, has again organized a workshop which is open to all comers. This is our third year for such an event with our patronage growing each time.
This year the workshop took place in the Canberra Highland Society and Burns Club (the oldest club in the ACT) on 25th, 26th and 27th of September with one hundred and one registered participants. The workshop included Piping, Snare Drumming and Bass and Tenor Drumming.

Our presenters were Richard Hawke N.Z, Jori Chisholm, Seattle, U.S.A., James Laughlin, Ireland now based in N.Z and Tyler Fry, Texas, USA, all well known in the piping and drumming scene in Scotland.
Workshops were run over the three days with a recital on the Saturday night which attracted an audience numbering almost two hundred who were treated to a feast of excellent piping and drumming leaving all concerned fired up with enthusiasm and vowing to attend next years event.
